Dear Friends,
Can you believe it? It’s been so busy this year that we can’t quite get over that our favorite time of year, the Christmas season, is right around the corner.
Our big news this year is truly big! Whitney Wreath has embarked on a new expansion project that is going to provide for lots more wreath making space in a brand new facility. It’s great news for the family and the business. Everyone is excited for the future, especially Cooper, who’s celebrating the fact that additional spaces means a bigger dog bed for him!
While we wait for the building, things are still moving right along! Customers are beginning to send in orders, supplies are being delivered, and we are gearing up for a great holiday season.
Again this year, we are offering customers a chance to join us in honoring the millions of women who have struggled against breast cancer. For every breast cancer awareness wreath purchased, we are donating 25% of the purchase price to the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation.
Our daughter, Michon, is in first grade this year. She’s enjoying all the different art projects at school and we suspect she might take after some of the artists in the family like her cousin Brooke or her grandfather Greenleaf.
Michon’s brothers, the twins, Colton and Ashton, will be four in January. They’ve started preschool – which is keeping them busy and giving Holly a much quieter afternoon naptime!
As we told you last year, Cooper has officially retired from his work overseeing the production at Whitney Wreath. He turned 14 last May and is doing very well, and looking mighty fine, especially when he gets all his beauty rest. For her sixth birthday, Michon received a kitten, which she named Peep. However, his nickname has quickly become the Energizer Bunny and Cooper has had to devote some of his time and attention to keeping track of Peep’s comings and goings.
Things at the Whitney homestead are wonderful and we hope your home is filled with as much warmth and love as ours.
Thanks for your interest in Whitney Wreath!
The Whitney Family
And, of course, Cooper
